How sorry he was when he realized that he almost stepped on her. He was so focused on his walk and on trying to understand which path to choose thanks to this map. Poor girl... she had fallen in the river because of him... and she didn't look very happy nor reassured... That, he could understand... It was all his fault... Maybe she would accept his apologizes ? Or a helping hand ? There was something strange about this female. Something in her eyes... in her gesture... Fear ?... Sadness ?...

This fool ! He'd scared her to death ! And now she was completely wet ! And on top of this all, he nearly crushed her ! She growled in a whisper as she stared at this stranger. He looked embarrassed, sincerely sorry, and he was stammering out an apology. Well... she knew she shouldn't have taken a nap here... It was a bad idea... All of this was a bad idea... She had to be home... to assume the role they wanted her to assume and... But what if she didn't want to... ? For now she had another problem to deal with. The stranger was still standing up there.

So what is the deal? This is an excellent piece, and yet not one comment. Oh well, I suppose I can snag this up and share it just about everywhere I can, if that would be alright with you.

First of all, understand that I'm 29. Secondly, I'm a veteran. Thirdly, the prior two points don't matter when I say that this is a sweet image. And by sweet, I mean it is charming. Capturing the innocence of these two is impressive, and the additional background lighting and shadows offers an amazing perspective, focusing your eye on each particular character. If God gave you talent, use it, I say, and your talent is right here I think. This is a wonderful illustration that I hope to see more of very, very soon.
